2021年, macOS 12.3 Monterey 以降 Python 2.7 のランタイムが macOS から削除された。また Python 3.x のランタイムの追加もない。

これに伴い Python 2.7 のランタイム（実行環境）に依存した一部のツールが実行できなくなった。homebrew などは Python から Shell 環境へ移行済み（Pythonランタイム削除に対応済み）である。
